The River of Five Colours- Cano Cristales Posted on 26th August 201511th April 2019 by dianemccormick This commission was made for a guy in Houston who is originally from Colombia and is based on the beautiful river of five colours in Colombia called Cano Cristales. Each time I fired it the colours gave me something different so layers of glazes were built up on top of the textured surface until the colours seemed right. Then it was sectioned off and shipped to Houston. He said he was going to frame the installation instructions too!
